Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillet skinless, diced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
Toppings
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese optional
  • 4 buns burger buns toasted
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup pickles sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Salmon Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine diced salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and dill. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates.
  2. Cook the salmon patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  3. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Place each salmon patty on a toasted bun and top with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite condiments.
