Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans sliced peaches drained
  • 1 cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained peaches, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch baking dish.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, milk, sugar, melted butter, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  2. Pour the topping mixture over the peach filling in the baking dish.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
