Ingredients
  

  • 4 hoagie rolls hoagie rolls
  • 0.5 lb deli ham
  • 0.5 lb salami
  • 0.5 lb roast beef or cooked ground beef
  • 0.25 lb sliced pepperoni optional
  • 8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup pickled banana peppers or pepperoncini
  • 0.5 cup sautéed onions optional
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each hoagie roll lengthwise, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  3. Layer in the fillings: Start with a few slices of ham, salami, and roast beef. Add pepperoni if using.
  4. Top each sandwich with 2 slices of cheese.
  5. Add banana peppers and sautéed onions if desired.
  6. Place sandwiches on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the hoagie rolls with melted butter and sprinkle Italian seasoning over them.
  8. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and everything is warmed through.
  9. Uncover and bake another 2–3 minutes for a crisp, golden top.
  10. Serve hot.
