Ingredients
  

Quinoa
  • 1 cup quinoa rinsed
  • 2 cups water or vegetable broth for added flavor
  • 1 pinch salt optional

Method
 

Cooking Quinoa
  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water using a fine mesh strainer to remove any bitterness.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed quinoa, water (or broth), and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the quinoa is fluffy and the water is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
  6. Fluff the quinoa with a fork before serving.
