- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and orange zest to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool on wire racks.
- To make the glaze, combine powdered sugar and fresh orange juice in a small bowl; drizzle over cooled cookies.
