  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese shredded
  • 1 cup feta cheese crumbled

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, nutmeg, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add the minced shallot and sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in the thawed and squeezed dry spinach, cooking until heated through. Remove from heat.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer the cubed croissants, spinach mixture, Gruyere cheese, and feta cheese.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  7. Drizzle the remaining olive oil or butter over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the strata is set and golden brown.
