Ingredients
  

Meatloaf
  • 1 lb ground beef preferably 80/20 for moisture
  • 1 cup bread crumbs plain or seasoned
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup plus extra for topping
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme

Method
 

Prepare the Meatloaf
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, beaten egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Spread additional ketchup on top of the meatloaf for added flavor.
Bake the Meatloaf
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  2. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
