Method
 

Baking the Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two round baking pans with grease and flour.

  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the butter mixture, alternating with milk until just mixed.
  5. Divide batter between pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes before preparing the mousse by melting chocolate and folding it into whipped cream until smooth.
  7. Layer cooled cakes with raspberry mousse and top with fresh raspberries before chilling.
