Ingredients
  

Pork
  • 3 pounds pork shoulder cut into large chunks
Spices
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
Aromatics
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 oranges juiced for flavor
  • 1 lime juiced for flavor
Liquid
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Method
 

Prepare the Pork
  1. Season the pork shoulder chunks with salt, black pepper, cumin, oregano, and paprika.
  2. Place the seasoned pork in the slow cooker.
Add Aromatics
  1. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, orange juice, lime juice, and chicken broth to the slow cooker.
Cook
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
Shred the Pork
  1. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  2. Optional: Sear the shredded pork in a skillet for a few minutes until crispy.
