  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter for browning
  • ¼ cup fresh sage leaves chopped
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and nutty-smelling, about 5-7 minutes. Add chopped sage and stir.
  3. Pour the browned butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together milk and eggs; add this mixture to the dough and stir until sticky.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface, knead gently for about a minute, then divide into golf-ball-sized pieces and shape into rolls.
  6. Place shaped rolls onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
