Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create the dry rub.
- Rub the dry mixture all over the beef ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Cooking
- Place the ribs in a roasting pan, bone side down, and pour the beef broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
- Cook for 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
- Remove the foil, baste the ribs with barbecue sauce, and return to the oven for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach at least 190°F (88°C) for optimal tenderness.
Serving
- Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
