Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade seasoning
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
Taco Shells
  • 8 taco shells hard or soft
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream optional
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and refried beans to the skillet, mixing well. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Place taco shells in a baking dish.
  2. Spoon the beef mixture into each taco shell, then top with shredded cheese.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve
  1. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Top with lettuce, diced tomato, sour cream, and jalapeños as desired.
